Macknesi is a Los Angeles-based artist whose paintings feature vivid, bright colors and dreamlike imagery blended with realism, while her linoleum carvings focus on California wildlife.

Her paintings complement her background in poetry by creating narratives with color rather than words, capturing emotions, hope, and dreams through vivid contrasts. Her linoleum carvings focus on capturing the quiet details of local wildlife and bringing their colors to life. 

Across both mediums, her work explores art as a means to heal from the past and express hope for the future.

Originally from Temecula, Macknesi moved to Los Angeles in 2021 after completing a graduate degree in English Literature at CSULB.
